For anyone using Controller

If you're using PS5 controller and it's being wonky use DualsenseX and emulate 360 controller. Also if you feel like the deadzones in the game are bad which they are just go to the steam controller settings, go to edit layout, got to joysticks and hit the gear symbol, under deadzone toggle custom deadzone and voila you can edit how much deadzone you want. Seems like the games default is literally 0 deadzone which feels terrible.


Edit: seems like deadzone through steam input isn't working for some people so I recommend ds4windows and use that instead. You can adjust deadzones through that and turn off steam input.

It doesn't work for me, using a ps4 controller with steam input. I think the game overwrites it

edit: I mean the controller does work, but the dead zone adjustment doesn't register somehow

Dualsense doesn't work for me. playing with my xbox series x controller for now while waiting for a fix.

is it actually working? my xbox1 only works if i enable the keyboard n mouse template then not all buttons work correct

Try Steam input ENABLED (instead of default) in STALKER 2 settings (in steam library, not in the game itself)

I found another way. Turn off steam input use ds4windows to emulate 360 controller and in the profile you can customize deadzones there as well. That seems to work the best.

Gotta use DS4windows and emulate 360 controller. Tried with dualsensex but you can't adjust deadzones on there.
