It NEEDS frame generation to even run at even remotely acceptable framerates. Even though the game does NOT look that good to justify its awful performance.

Reminds me a lot of Starfield's performance, just god tier awful.

It's not about making the game look good, it's about reducing the work the devs need to do on shaders and lighting. Old games required devs to custom do their own lighting and actually create manual effects that handled potential frame drops. Automating it all and throwing it to the artificial intelligence on your graphics card is the point of newer engines, making the barrier to entry for game design less and less. If you are an expert, you can eek out better graphics by supplementing what the AI already is doing, but for most devs they're going to just optimize for taking a crummy looking zone and hitting it with instant polish.

Black Desert Online is the best example of this. Look at the game with all settings off, it looks like something from the 1990s. Turn on all the pretty effects and suddenly it's beautiful. That's where all the budget is going into these days, automating the beautification of games so devs can churn them out quicker and cheaper.

All epic settings besides disabling motion blur. FSR 3 frame gen at native quality 3440x1440. Latest AMD drivers. 10/18 I think.

Okay, Im at the first bigger camp now - 45 fps and jumping around on my 3070ti. Will set it on high now, nothing on epic anymore.

5000 series ryzen is meh, you should have the 5800x3d.

Looks like the X3D chips are making their mark with this title. GG intel nubs haha

No input latency here with frame gen, be sure to be using DLSS Performance if on 4K output, else DLSS Quality for 1440p resolutions.

My issue is less about the FPS (which is decent but nothing like 120) and more about the amount of crashed. God this game crashes a lot. Welcome home, Stalker. Hahha. Still, having a blast despite the frequent crashes.

What are your settings? I get 100 fps with Mid to High, yet every so often II get dramatic drops to 30, especially after going to menu and back/ I have 4060TI, 7500F. 32GB RAM

I get 110 at 5120x1440. It's not that much of a stretch. Again, why is it so hard for people to understand that performance differs from system to system, and that not everyone is lying about it? It's really sad.

Arma players are worse for this.

"runs fine for me just get an intel cpu" meanwhile they are playing 40fps in MP yet telling everyone they get a stable 90fps.
