Cant bind numlock without breaking the game

Im a left handed player and set my movement keys to the arrows and all the other handy stuff like jumping crouching and so fort to the numpad keys. Why isnt this working properly?
For example i set numlock 1 to jump and when i press one my character also moves to the left.... WTH is going on here?

Its 2024 and i cant set my keys like i want to... really disappointed. I didnt just spend so much money for the ultimate edition to be ultimate let down with some simple keybindings.
So either fix it really fast or a refund incoming towards steam.

Yeah it's exhausting how left-handed users often end up with broken keybinds in recent games, I hope they fix these hardcoded numpad controls

And it's especially frustrating because I'm sure the game itself is probably interesting

Many keys are hard coded, not much you can do if you don't have programmable keyboard/mouse with dedicated software.

Well they either fix it really fast or I am gonna make the most ultimate edition of refunding I have ever made on steam

Looks like we have to wait for a mod similar to a skyrim mod i use to enable numlock binding.

No I’m not gonna reward bad programming. I shouldn’t find an excuse because they failed such a simple thing

Accessibitly is such a big thing these days, and still devs cant manage to give at least full rebindable keys. Yes, im also looking at you Bioware/Ea.

go there and figure out what it means but basically I'm guessing you can change the binds for everything.

for example using a ladder and movement are 2 different keybinds.

I’ll give it a shot. Stil have like 1 hour and 55 minutes left on playtime. Should give me enough time to see if it will be a refund.

yeah its a big issue atm..so frustrating and my guess is that the devs dont read anything here so..rip refund incoming probably

I dont think they will do anything about this soon.
I made a ticket about it and they answered today:

its infuriating for someone that uses arrow keys for movement, that I have to run up to a ladder with the up arrow then click W to climb it, same as when I need to descend, Not easy to do when you're being chased by something and try to climb the ladder to escape and usually get caught doing so whilst trying to stab the W key when i'm playing in the dark.

i would refund and wait for the key rebind patch.. who knows when it will be..

im so glad i held out for day one release to buy..

saw the posts about lefties left out in the cold and thought "here we go again"...

no full key rebinds no purchase.. its that simple...

I found a temporary solution the help of sharpkeys
(https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xpffcg7m673d4f?hl-en-US-gl-EN)
Click on the Add button.
Click the Type key button on the left column.
Press the key to replace and click OK.
Then select the replacement key in the right column by clicking on the Type key button.
Click on the Write to Registry button
reboot
Don't forget to delete the mapping and reboot at each end of the game.
