Had to order a new cpu, hopefully that fixes it. But I've still lost all my files and have to reinstall windows and everything else. ♥♥♥♥ me.
I’ve also been BSOD into the ground. Never had an issue and now I get a BSOD 50% of the time when I load into Windows. Everything from a clockout to the more concerning kernel level timeout l.
This worked for me, thanks a lot
(i have i9 13900kf and 3080ti, if that's relevant)
It has nothing to do with bios, i had similar issue on my 6950xt gpu with 5800x3d, I transfered a mod file to make performance better before playing game first time. So at the first launch the game started shaderloading for 5mins untill it crashed reporting (Out of Video memory). THis kept happening continuesly during shaderloading at the exact spot I left last time.
So deleting that mod file https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/2?tab=description, it basically stopped crashing, I think the mod was interfering with the shaderloading process.
But im really convinced this has nothing to do with Bios update.
You’ve screwed up the BIOS, not the CPU.
Ordering a new one will not fix a bust BIOS! Neither will resetting windows, lol
If you have flashback or a means of recovery, you need to download the correct BIOS and install it on a USB and flash the motherboard. Some MSI and ASUS I know of inc my own can flash BIOS without a CPU and RAM.
So you can’t enter BIOS through Delete F8 etc.?
If you have no recovery on that motherboard, then it’s in the bin it goes.
I have an Intel 13th gen i5-14400f it’s only K models effected and not all of them. The fact you had no issues proved your was fine
I’m re-quoting you.
Here’s a big thought for you.
Have you turned OFF secure Boot in BIOS????
Your BIOS update will crash BSOD, Windows screw up etc. unless you turn OFF Secure Boot.
That’s default for updating your BIOS
