Crashes on boot due to "Video Memory"

Running a 4070TS, should be absolutely no issue whatsoever. Video memory isn't a problem here. What's causing it, because I have zero idea.

I had this problem when I first started the game, I updated my video drivers and also my Bios due to having 14900k CPU. It worked for me.

Download Throttlestop, checkmark the box to disable your Turbo.

Try booting the game after.

The microcode BIOS update doesn't fix the problem if your CPU already experienced degradation from the out of control voltages/wattages before the fixes went out, so it could already be struggling. This is indicated by your CPU throttling up with its Turbo function and causing the CTD.

Yes disabling your Turbo will be detriment to performance, but if the choice is that or not booting, it's better to boot than not be able to play. Tweak settings lower once in game.

I put -dx12 into launch options and that fixed it for me i7 13700k

7800x3d with 4090. Same issue. Everything is updated. Increased shader cache size. Windowed mode. Tried everything that has been suggested.

13900k (bios has been updated after every new microcode update) , 32gb ddr5, 4090

no issues with shader compiling (took just around 2 min)

game runs pretty well , had no bugs after playing 3 hours

out of video memory and crashing during shader compiling are known issues with 13th/14th gen cpu's

I had the same error, like in many unreal engine 5 games, thanks to the gen 14 i9. Updating bios helped me with this error.
