Crashes on boot due to "Video Memory"
Running a 4070TS, should be absolutely no issue whatsoever. Video memory isn't a problem here. What's causing it, because I have zero idea.

Yep. 14700k.

You need to update your bios then.

Yours would be a different issue since it's not a 13th/14th gen CPU.

Update your drivers and try these launch options:

-xgeshadercompile -nothreadtimeout -NoVerifyGC

Also once the game boots hit alt+enter to go windowed mode, seems to help some people.

I run an i9 - 114900K and have the same issue. These CPU's are ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but you can also download the "Intel Extreme Tuning Utility" and lower you Performance Core Ratio. I changed mine from 57x to 55x and it stopped crashing. Hope that helps

Download Throttlestop, checkmark the box to disable your Turbo.

Try booting the game after.

The microcode BIOS update doesn't fix the problem if your CPU already experienced degradation from the out of control voltages/wattages before the fixes went out, so it could already be struggling. This is indicated by your CPU throttling up with its Turbo function and causing the CTD.

Yes disabling your Turbo will be detriment to performance, but if the choice is that or not booting, it's better to boot than not be able to play. Tweak settings lower once in game.
This worked perfectly for me, thanks a lot!
there is a driver ready for Stalker 2 . update

I also find adjusting the turbo ratios help more than outright disabling it. Throttlestop ftw.

Also wind down your voltage by a little, helps with stability. Be careful however.

I just updated the BIOS after reading this and it fixed for me

MOBO: MSI Pro-A Wifi DDr4
CPU: 14700k

Intel good old times are definetely gone but for people who want to try the bios update and dont know how to do, trust me its easier than taking a screenshot and save it with paint :D

You just go to your mobo brand website just by googling your exact motherboard, look for support or drivers, download the newest one and unzip into an usb stick.

After that reboot your pc and enter in the bios (generally by spamming the delete button), look for bios flash mode, your pc will restart (dont be scared) and you'll have a very simple menu where you navigate into your drives, you'll have all your HDs and SSDs NVMEs, look for the usb stick and go forward until you can click on the actual "bios file".

At that point you will be asked if u really wanna update it, click yes and just pray power doesnt cut. It might take 30 seconds or 5 minutes but keyboard and mouse are generally locked during the process.

This might reset your XMP profile so give it a check.

Good luck out there stalkers.

Updating my BIOS also fixed it on my i7-14700K, life savers. I've had weird graphics issues in other games too, so I'm hoping this will make them go away.

I tried to upgrade my bios and it worked. I was searching solution here for 2 hours and I saw upgrade your bios. I googled it and watches how to do on youtube and it fixed my problem + on properties in Steam launching options write"-dx12". I wish you all luck!
