FIX Stutter & FPS Drop for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Stutter & Lag FIX
If you are having problems with stutters and quick lag & fps drop, I highly recommend using my solution. It will make your game smooth with ~stable fps, it worked for me. No stutters, no fps drops, smooth gameplay.

As you can see, Engine.ini takes about 20 fps. Nothing changed in good way.
Maybe it's problem on my side, but be careful.

Native[i.imgur.com] (w/o anything)

Engine-ini[i.imgur.com] only (FIX Stutter & Lag - Second Method + Delete Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration)

Parameters[i.imgur.com] only (-xgeshadercompile -nothreadtimeout -NoVerifyGC)

Game is not starting with -dx11
What if I don't have the "Engine.ini" file in my "..App Data/Local/ Stalker2/Save/Config/Windows"?

Noone have, just download some from nexusmods and put it here. It cam from other games, but it is compatible.
Of all the "disable ray tracing lines", the one that crashes is "r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather=False"
the others work fine.

None of these tips helped me, but what helped me, is this:

https://youtu.be/CQfD0nxyszI?t=1718

I copy paste his setting and enabled FSR 3 Frame Generation (was off before) and I'm getting around 75 fps (40 before that) and the game feels much smoother.

*i'm using 3070 and 1440p monitor

Of course you can enable Nvidia Frame Generation or FSR Frame Generation. You will have high FPS, but everything will be unresponsive. I prefer real FPS, generated FPS are very let down game experience...

What graphical features will be disables using these commands?
Graphics will not be changed. I tested this on myself, FPS becomes more stable, thanks to these commands. The graphics in the game will be the same

Disable Ray Tracing = graphics don't change? Perfecto.....
So if i understand correctly, Ray Tracing is turned on by default and no setting to turn it off in the menu? Is this real? I mean, that alone eats like 40+ fps for most people.

yes , its real. Its ,because of the method it is implemented in the game.
Is it possible to just copy/paste -xgeshadercompile -nothreadtimeout -NoVerifyGC in the commands section in steam properties ?
i mean, many of us don't use the old shortcut way, and it simplify the use of moondeck for in home streaming on the steam deck
