Ultrawide FOV is VERT-
Thought you guys said you had ultrawide support. Vert- isnt ultrawide support come on

EDIT: Figured it out thank god was about to blow. Keep your aspect ratio on AUTO and it scales correctly

The UI appears to be set to 16:9 as well so it's not on the edge of the screen for me, annoying.

Put this in engine.ini

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

Though I dunno where its located

OKAY i fixed it guys. Engine.ini cant be found on the steam install luckily i found a way to do it without the engine.ini. you need an app called Unreal Engine 5 Unlocker. when you have it you aim it at Stalker 2 when its running and inject the unlocker to the game, Then go to configeration and change "Aspect ratio axis constraint method" to Maintain Y (Vertical) FOV. then in game set you aspect ratio to 16:9 wella you now have proper aspect ratio in full 32:9. Not sure if this fixes the cut scenes yet but it worked for super zoomed in everything else.

Try this instead from user Tywerr:
"Try this: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\GameSettings\AppliedSettings.cfg

Scroll down and edit the "FieldOfView = 110" and make it 130 or higher and leave the aspect ratio in-game to AUTO. This worked for me on a 57" G9 NEO 32:9"

That seems like MUCH BETTER solution than using an injector. Please try it if you can and let me know if it works for you.

Thanks! This is the proper fix.

I have been changing the value both in-game and in the file, and it looks like the proper way to update the FOV over 120, is to close the game, update the file and start the game again to have the new value applied.

UPDATE: changing settings in game will reset the FOV edit in the config file.

That does not work on UE5 games.

That only changes the FOV, what the injector is doing is making it widescreen supported without changing the FOV, keeping it to maintain the Y axis

Exactly. i also find the injector doesnt have the weapon model glitch that happened from time to time like it did in Auto without the injector

I haven't played at non-wide resolution, but I find the camera to be super close NPCs faces when talking to them. Would this also be something due to the poor ultrawide implementation or it's the same thing for standard resolutions?

Dude THANK YOU, setting the ingame aspect ratio to 16:9 was the missing piece for me, when enabling the Y Axis Fov Scaling in the UE5 Unlocker it now gives me the correct expanded Horizontal FOV :steamhappy:

Yeah but that unlocker tool is behind a paywall. We need a modder to make this change and repack the files.
