If I buy and play on Xbox, can I continue from PC?

I am all for helping the studio especially when I was born there but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ these prices for the deluxe and ultimate edition, yeah maybe I would buy one if it was play anywhere but I am not sure if the game will play OK on either platform. F this ♥♥♥♥ again.

Gonna play game pass version and miss all the goodies from preorder, deluxe and ultimate. Thanks devs.

Goodies? Who cares lol the stuff you get from that is always a gimmick and doesn't matter. Just use game pass and play the regular version where you'll miss basically nothing lol I can't believe some of you still fall for that crap.

Zeev, I hope you realize you can play this game for free on Xbox Game Pass. No need to buy it there. I understand what you were asking though has nothing to do with what i just mentioned but I was just trying to be of help to you in another way.

There is cross progression between PC Xbox App and Xbox

xbox to steam will not work.
what could work if you loaded the XBOX game save on PC through PC game pass.
you can then grab the save file from gamepass save folder and paste it in steam save folder overwriting the save on steam. Caution overwriting any save file will result in loss of progress in the overwritten file so, might be smart to back up before attempting

With xbox gamepass, it works 100%. I've been switching between xbox and laptop, and the xbox cloud save works fine. You have to run the game on pc for it to sync saves, so remember to do that before you go mobile. The only issue I have is the version you run has to be the same. Don't buy the special editions unless you want to buy them twice. The purchase doesn't carry over.
