Will you know if it’s good within the 2 hr refund window?
With the exception of bad performance / poor optimization on your PC, will you know if it’s bad enough to refund within the 2 hour refund period?

I’m seeing a trend with a lot of games designed to eat up your refund window with directional ambiguity, tutorials, initial difficulty causing you to die and start over, sparse resources like ammo, crafting ingredients, etc. keeping you guessing and then 3-4 hrs in you finally realize you’ve been bamboozled.

In the first 2 hours, hat will you be looking for to know if this game is good or not?

Probably better off keeping your playtime inside the refund window and checking the reviews.
Gog's refund time is 30 days, though.

GoG has this? Won’t that make the game easy to pirate?

no because you'll spent 2000 hrs figure a way to become female

You'll probably need at least 1k hours before you're worthy of making a decision.

Or so that's what pro gamers tell me

Yes they do, it has a thirty-day return window and I really don't know what their reasoning is on piracy
Gog is one of GSC official resellers

I'm expecting a lot of refunding and piracy.

Am sure you can watch walk through of the whole game before playing and get a good idea, bugs or game breaking issues you might notice early.
Beyond that 2 hours isn't enough to fairly assess most games, let alone some large scale one's

more and more games hide their reasons to not play them behind the 2 hour window, so if you want to be sure. wait for reviews from actual people

Hey so maybe you will maybe you won't know. What I can tell you Stalker anomaly is free and a must play. Will anomaly equal this game probably not but its a great intro into the Stalker world and brought tons of fans in.

This 100%, A lot of games will optimise the hell out of the starting area and then after that 2 hrs you are in the open world where its awful performance. I do have hopes for this game though, fingers crossed!

It's funny that this whole 'DEI' and 'woke' meme hit Steam, because people really have no idea what they're talking about.

This game is politicized around a pro-Ukrainian context. Being pro-Ukraine or funding their war is a 'woke' issue.

Trump was elected on the position of being against the Ukraine war. This reflects that the popular position is likely more pro-peace, anti-war, anti-international interventionism.

Keep in mind, the reason anyone in the USA cares about Ukraine is because Ukraine is a 'woke' globalist stronghold sitting at the doorstep of conservative, nationalist Russia.

If this game got 50% on Steam because they took an unpopular political position, wouldn't it be fair to say they deserve it?

When I played Ghosts of Tsushima it all started nice, relatively cool story, 2 hours passed and then bam, you need to look for x, then y, then z, destroy 1000 mongol camps, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I never played it and couldn't refund it either.

So with Stalker I'll just gamepass it until it's on sale on Steam - if I really like it.
