I'm an insane mirror universe opinion haver where the only reason I want a settlement is "The game won't let me perform basic gameplay functions unless it shows off the basebuilder soooo-" or because an actual landmark is easier to see in a hurry than "Which ditch did I leave my pile of rusty assault rifles?"
So a rusty boat on land with a loot crate and all the relevant interactions has me covered. Even if I do understand why people would want to set up camp by their favorite hotspot, more so if a game is trying to brag how big the map is.
That said, I'm imagining the "You were inside a bunker you had to grind cement shipments, hand carried, to build. You died because the engine still thought that was a patch of grass during a deadly psychic storm" bugs. Or chimera being spawned indoors. etc.
Keep that in mind anytime gets defensive about settlements. Terror they would make the game look stupid if they were done poorly. But that doesn't make you sound like you are a true fan defending *franchise name* soooo time to pretend only those who prefer cheetos over my precious east coast shrapnel, cape cod chips, want them.
People get real pissed off if you mention features that are apart of GAMMA, even if you haven't heard of GAMMA, just ignore them, they're trying to gatekeep you.
as mentioned by the GSC developer that commented here, base building isn't a feature.
Base building has never really been necessary with the official STALKER games as most safe zones give you a place to stash your loot. It also probably wouldn't have worked well on the official X-Ray engine builds either.
There are plans for a modding SDK but it'll probably be a while before anything like a base building mod makes its way into the game.
I also recommend playing the original trilogy before getting into STALKER 2 so you can get caught up with the story.
Maybe for you man, but why do you say it like your speaking for everyone ? Id for one enjoy building a hideout.
Yet to be seen if there are sliders for custom settings in-game.
High Testosterone Chad > High IQ Eternal Virgin
Nature has spoken.
The "Fast travel isn't oldschool" brainworms got me again recently. I was playing link to the past, wasted an hour before I remembered only using the fast travel bird would let me reach an otherwise inaccessible area.
"Oh, right. I should know better by now to ever blame myself for using QoL old enough to be my child"
are you saying that testosterone and low iq are linked? that's pretty bigoted of you.
