probably won´t even bother to play vanilla and wait for some mods.
does it have the same modding capabilities like stalker anomaly? does somebody know how much in this moddable?

Not the same modding capabilities, but not necessarily less capabilities. It's UE5, so there are a LOT of modders out there with experience working with this game engine, and should be easily able to make most of the popular mods from the other STALKER games for STALKER 2.

I did that for every Bethesda game since Morrowind, excluding 76. It's paid off every time so far.

Of course, and then you are going to blame or praise the game for stuff that wasn't in there and added by the Vasyan instead.

If I'm not mistaken, they're supposed to be releasing actual modding tools a bit after the games release. Similar to the same tools they used to create the game in the first place.

Base UE5 experience probably won't matter TOO much since they've made massive under-the-hood changes to better fit their game. I specifically remember one of the devs mentioning in an interview that base UE5 wasn't enough to handle the fullscale map and ALife system they were using, so they had to heavily modify it to work for them.

haha me too. especially if you like your games with some extra difficulty / complexity then mods are almost mandatory. waiting is so much worth it.

Stalker Anomaly was not a game, i think your confused, the 3 original games didn't have mod support built in, the be clear, Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat were all story driven games with side quest elements, there was no crafting in any of the games, some side objectives were included, but it was a linear system with basic weapon modification.

Plus Stalker 2 is on UE5 which is difficult to currently make mods for, so you will be waiting a very long time.

I don't care about mods and I will play vanilla. Same as I did with OG trilogy.

i doubt we will see bigger mods for the first 2-3years or something like that. im no gamedev/coder but arent base engines usually modified to suit the devstudios needs, therefore without the access to proper creation tools from the devs i doubt you will see big game changing mods. sure we will have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of asset changes or lighting and simular graphical stuff but no big ai/mechanic or comeplete overhauls of gamesystems like with anomaly (gamma) which did need access to the engine tools (the dev gave those out) which then got recreated to actually be able to run the more complex mods.

since the devs have on several ocasions mentioned they are very gratefull for the modding scene for keeping the stalker series alive and are pro modding my guess would be we will see (big) mods sometime, just not in the first 1-3 years, especially since they are planing on releasing expansions if im not mistaken.

First time played through cop was vanilla, and first mod was Absolute (vanilla+ mod) that fixed some issues and changed a few things.
There were points where the vanilla version had no npc show during a convo, so with the mod was funny to realise someone should have been there the whole time and have parts of the story make a lot more sense.

They say a bit about modding potential and suggest extensive conversions will be possible:

Welcome to PC gaming. We have just as much silliness as console game. It's the same but different.

Such a reply would stand in stark opposition to the forum’s guidelines ...

Like 90% of Skyrim's playerbase lol :kcdhead:
If you play any of BETAhesda's game's in vanilla you're a Cuckold

I'm hopping Stalker 2 vanilla will be good on it's own.

to be fair, bethesda games are unplayable without mods. Stalker games are not

Butthurt loser can't take the fact that he gets literal air instead of his money's worth. Yeah we all know what kind of person you are lol.

never seen somebody say something so cringey and be so utterly wrecked by reality so quickly. This trainwreck needs mods like people need internal organs.
