Yes, the HUD elements are higly customisable. You can turn it off completely, or switch off some elements of your choice.
I, for example, disabled compass, hit, and threat indicator.
I think there will be a lot of beautiful Tik Toks about the game without the HUD)
It looks bad, bright colors, big non-transparent bars, looks like something you'd see in a Tony Hawk Game.
That's great. But what about UI elements with kinda big mapped hotkeys hints like those?

Visual/audio queues. I mean, it's not That hard to find an organic way to indicate those things without a UI. I'm also not talking about hiding the whole, but things like crosshair ,hit marker, box paint, ...
Same issue as yours. Turn off UI completely. That's the only way for now.
