Is this sure?
True..not that this are important items tho. But since Iam a real big fan of that special Stalker Atmosphere since day 1 I would actually like to have that extra campfire stuff^^
I'm not sure if it's the same with pre-orders as normal purchases, but refunds cost developers money - Valve keeps their 30% and when they return full sum to the customer, publisher owes Valve their 30% and they will be taken out from their next payout. Please keep this in mind when getting or suggesting a refund.
Okay, but is there any evidence they don't deduce their 30% from all refunds by the time they give devs their pre-order money?
Then (as soon as the upgrade feature is implemented/unlocked), the OP can upgrade their deluxe edition to ultimate and get the bonuses tied to it.
Its not developers or publishers fault that platers refund a game
Valve takes it 30% piece after the game is released until then they keep all the money and are able to actually refund people for unreleased product
Because they can, same as with how they could opt to not keep the 30% from refunded purchases made after release, but choose not to. Also won't be surprising if all other stores that matter did it that way, too.
Valve are a monopoly on PC market, and at the same time the best platform: they provide quality service, pay for hosting and traffic, handle discoverability algorithm, offer stats and APIs and so much more else, that if you, as a developer don't like it, want them to eat the costs of transactions and refund procedures, deal with banks, taxes and support tickets so devs and publishers can sell some crappy games that people would refund in droves, they can take their games and go to Epic or Gog.
There is no company big enough for Valve to change policies to keep them on their platform and devs that make games that sell well don't care about the chump change of occasional refunds, so if they'd do it either way, they do it because they can.
Hey! Thanks for joining the Zone!
If you are concerned about the amount of digital content in the edition that you have chosen — no worries again. You'll be able to enhance your digital edition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl to a more expensive one, but it will cost a bit more. We cannot announce the exact date yet, but this option will become possible after some time of the game release.
Story expansions from Season Pass will become available as they are released, but we are not planning to sell Season Pass and Ultimate Edition separately. Although, you will definitely get the opportunity to buy content from it apart. But there will be no option to get the pre-order bonuses another way.
