I don't know why anyone takes the deluxe version when the ultimate will give access to all dlc in the future
Hey!
If you are concerned about the amount of digital content in the edition that you have chosen — no worries again. You'll be able to enhance your digital edition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl to a more expensive one, but it will cost a bit more. We cannot announce the exact date yet, but this option will become possible after some time of the game release.
Story expansions from Season Pass will become available as they are released, but we are not planning to sell Season Pass and Ultimate Edition separately. Although, you will definitely get the opportunity to buy content from it apart. But there will be no option to get the pre-order bonuses another way.
I understand this - but setting aside out-of-game bonuses like stickers, physical goodies and the likes - will I be able to have the same *in game* experience as a player that pre-ordered the ultimate edition?
Additional Story-Based Side Quest is available only for Deluxe and Ultimate editions, but there is nothing about it's exclusive pre-order status, so you should get that content the moment you upgrade the basic edition to deluxe or ultimate.
As for the same in game experience, there is always a small chance that 1 of the 2 confirmed story DLCs might be released on Day 1 (unlikely but possible), but like with Additional Story-Based Side Quest, that content will be available for additional money.
According to Prophet's reply, the upgrade to other editions will be available some time after the game release. So with the basic edition pre-order there is a chance that you will have to wait a few days before you could unlock the Additional Quest and DLCs (if any of them released).
Pre-order bonus should be equal for any edition. But GSC's wording made me so nervous that I had to take the Ultimate edition, maybe that was intentional.
