Lowered weapons
I know its my personal pet peeve but it seems like a gun raised in front of your face at all times kind of game. Stalker isn't meant to be an arcady Call of Duty shooter. After playing the new metro game and cyberpunk and simulation shooters like ground branch or ready or not, I feel like gun play is important. Not only is it more immersive but you're also teaching gun safety. Holding a gun in front of you when you are with other people on a mission is not safe. You could accidentally shoot an ally.

I would've said it's not necessary, but some old games like Deus Ex have that mechanic, so yeah.

Would be cool if more games had it.

Lowering / holstering your weapon while in neutral territory or while talking to people has been a thing in game since the original SoC.

Most NPCs would (rightfully) point their guns at you and threaten you if you approached them with a weapon in hand, refusing to talk unless you lowered it. Approaching some checkpoints without holstering your weapon would get you outright shot on the spot.

Only after gaining high reputation with a faction, its members would let you approach and talk without the need to holster your gun.

It would be very weird if it didn't work that way in the new game, too.

It’s a useful feature in Hunt Showdown, but it has practical usage in that game. Would be cool to have a lowered and inspect weapon command. Though I think it might because there’s a few other games out where NPC’s don’t like your gun being pointed at them.

unreal engine is not hard to mod, and devs said there will be partial mod support on release, and full support some time in the future. I don't think it's hard to implement too, just need some talented modders
