Why even bother with a multiplayer mode?

I mean, who played the original STALKER and thought "hmm, this is not bad but that multiplayer action is where it's at!"

At least they're still supporting mods, that alone gives me faith that the developers really care about this series and it's fans

Yeah multiplayer will be trash if it isn't co-op, but co-op would honestly make this game worth 120$ to me for the base game if it's even just a remake of SoC, like if I wanted STALKER game play on VS I have Tarky

Multiplayer will be added after the release with as a free DLC.

As for original games - we still play in multiplayer from time to time, and we announce the games in our discord server (discord.gg/stalker), so feel free to join and hop on when we gonna play again :)

You're ridiculous - how are you complaining about multiplayer being added post-launch like it's a bad thing. If they didn't add multiplayer, people would ask for multiplayer, if they are, people are upset that they are. More content is always good, more content that can be enjoyed with a friend is good too. Just don't play MP lol.

I guess people have come to the conclusion that modern MP games are just MTX milking machines to make people pay more. And they aren't wrong nor 100% right. Free MP can be a trojan horse for other intentions.

+1 for coop, if Stalker needs to open to the world, this would be the right direction in my opinion. Nobody care of another "pew pew pew you dead" title, there is so much on the market and probably done better than this.

But a coop experience in chernobyl would be like something new, very appealing.

Coop is a must. It would be great to explore the Zone with a friend, go artefact hunting, discover secrets etc.

Coop would be amazing, exploring the zone with another buddy. :D

But pvp would be fun as well I guess since the anomalies can make it chaotic.

We haven't confirmed the coop. The multiplayer will be added to the game with a free update soon after the release, but I can't tell at the moment any details about it.

It's a free addition. I don't care for multiplayer games anymore, but seriously doesn't bother me that it would get it so others may enjoy it.

Co-op might be interesting though. Playing through it with (a) friend/friends could be super awesome. No clue how that would have to work in this game though.

With all the quests changing the non-linear story, you would need to keep the quest completion separate to say the least...
