Because there are still some games being sold on discs and a lot of people would love to go back to games being on discs.

Even if it did come with disc, what makes you think it's not just some extras and instructions how to activate on some DRM, like some games do.

Same i use my pc to watch a lot of movies and a bluray drive is essential for that.
