On the subject of fast travel that is almost certainly going to be the guide system where you need to find someone and pay them to take you to a certain location but they wont know every location so you may have to use multiple guides to get to your desired location.
True but i would not mis it if it was removed in favor of the resident evil magic box since stalker 2 is going to be a much bigger landmass we would need to travel through taking up much more time or pay guides a lot of money to quick travel.
I can see how that could get frustrating when you want to spend more time exploring and less time going back and forth between the stash.
Im going to trust the developers to strike a good balance on this one.
No STALKER game I've played has shared storage, but maybe it is a difficulty setting?
Sure that must be it... (¯―¯)
I wouldn't mind even if this was locked behind some minor goals, such as buying the key of a safe from a seller, or gaining a minimum trust level from a faction.
I don't care about base building, but setting up one or more "lairs" could be fun. Kinda like, the option to buy a room as a permanent safe storage and resting place, and while you keep doing quests and progressing in the story, it progressively fills with souvenirs from your actions (mounted mutant heads, decorative artifacts, hanged weapons, this kind of stuff).
