Voice actors

in the old Stalker game the voice actors matched the place in the world
in the videos for this one seems they got some good actors but they dont sound like there from that part of the world ? is there a reason for this ? or did they just say F the immersion? ill have to turn on the Russian voice actors with subs if thats the case

Yeah multiple games have Russian removed from their supported language section. Would like to see an option in settings for languages. Alas that would cost a pretty penny.

There are still Ukranian & English VOs in the game as default language.

They are talking about the English voice that had slavic accents.

Most of those guys are retired . They did the voiceovers for practically every eastern European character in every game for about 10 15 years.

its really jarring to not hear a Slavic accent

We never got to hear the Ukrainian voice over so far, it will give us better vibes when we'll hear it.

The english voice over is more for a newer/casual generation of Stalker's players, a bit like the Chernobyl TV series.

I will be happy to just play it in Ukrainian with English subtitles. Another recent slavic game that had this issue was Atomic Heart, underrated game imo, the american sounding english voice overs were off putting, but since the game had a silly vibe anyway I could deal with it. But a lot of people were saying it was much better in Russian with the english subs.

We cancelled the Russian VO for the game, but you will still be able to turn on Ukrainian VO, which for you, I guess, will be the best option.

The English voices still have slavic accents, just more authentic (from what I can tell)
They pronounce "psi" funny and don't seem to be native English speakers.
Original Stalker English voices were very stereotypical and clearly just Americans doing a fake accent.
It's difficult to take it seriously, at least as a Ukrainian.

On Xbox there is no Ukranian VO announced :( Only English
I would love to hear Russian/Ukranian VO but it is not listed on the xbox product page so I am not downloading the game. English sucks.
