Cover mechanics and leaning out.
Will this game have leaning out mechanics like in "ready or not" or is it more far cry like, aim to lean out type of cover mechanic?

In the first game, there is indeed 2 keys to lean left and right. I guess it should stay that way in the second opus, but no one knows. I'm not sure I fully understand your question (and I don't know this game as well), I hope this is the answer you were looking for.

you should play previous games then, they're really good.

Friends, I've no time to spare to play games at the moment. So can you please give me the information? It'll be easier for all of us. I read somewhere in the discussions page that there will be assigned keys to lean out (at least on pc), but I couldn't find anything to confirm that.

First 3 games had a good leaning mechanic, so it's 99% this will have it as well.

Saying "play the older ones" is not a good way to compare the two mechanics I gave as an example, and hardly qualifies as an answer. Should've just said "we don't know yet" from the start.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I hope it's a toggle so you can constantly lean to the side.

I preffer toggle for extensive, wide area lean (you can't move during that), push action to normal lean (you can move, but with decreased speed), just like in ready or not.

I'm probably an outlier, but I've never been a fan of the leaning mechanic in any FPS, and I wouldn't mind if it didn't make it into STALKER 2 (I say that as a long-time PC gamer, too).

That said, leaning does fit the combat style in this game rather well, so I expect GSC to keep the mechanic. Perhaps they'll make it context-sensitive so that aiming down sights makes you lean out from a corner. I might actually prefer that just so I can assign my Q and E keys to other actions.

I hate using Q and E for that. I personally bind them to my mouse buttons.
