Will GOG version be identical?

Some games like for example Dying Light have a lot of missing features from their GOG releases like all the online events and challenges, coop, Twitch drops and similar stuff. Will there be any differences in the game whether it's from GOG or from Steam?

Multiplayer has been announced on GOG too. At this moment, there is no reason to believe the game experience would be different, except there will be no useless launcher (at least for the solo mode i guess, i'm not a multiplayer expert). Steam exclusive content is only about the steam user profile.

The example I used, Dying Light, only has coop between GOG players. It seems the launcher facilitates a lot of connectivities that require DRM, hence GOG releases are more bare bones.

Same. I would rather buy on GoG over Steam but if I get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over because I do not want DRM in my game.
