How do you know?
People like you jump into Anomaly, which is nothing like STALKER, and then make baseless assumptions, criticizing the actual games and even a game that's isn't out yet because they're not similar to your favorite, overrated mod.
"Obviously" eh?
Let me check my physical copies of all three games, all bought in the year they are released are still there on my shelf, oh, here they are, staring at me as I reply to this nonsensical comment. Hell, I even have a copy of Anomaly burned to a DVD as part of my mod collection, you don't know who you're talking to.
Typical Anomaly player with a typical answer.
Why would I suggest the game needs improvement when it isnt even out yet? Because all games are developed to appeal to a wider audience so many aspects of games have to be dumbed down to be more forgiving to new players in as shorter play time, what that means is the player becomes over powered early in the game and the previously rare occurances and rare events seem to happen constantly if you play for a long session. The days are shorter and the characters sem almost constantly hungry to the point where the game devolves into a constant search for food rather than exploring the game world. So mods like Anomaly are almost required for experienced players who have extended game sessions. and no Im not talking about just moving a difficulty slider than only gives the enemy more HP.
No, mods like Anomaly aren't "almost required" just because you can't enjoy games that aren't difficult enough for you. Plus, what you call a "huge variety of items" is what many call item bloat, which I 100% agree with when it comes to this mod.
I have been playing this series since '07, I'd like to think that makes me an experienced player like you mentioned. Despite this, I think Anomaly is an aimless borefest that's nothing like STALKER, doesn't improve STALKER nor should define the future of the STALKER. There goes your theory saying mods such as these are required for experienced players.
Understand this: This game is being developed for the fans of STALKER not the fans of Anomaly. Call it whatever you want, dumbing down, trying to appeal to wider audiences etc. it doesn't matter. The game has an established skeleton and rules, those won't change and shape themselves to be more like your favorite mod.
You assuming the game will be "dumbed down" before it even came out shows that you are not a fan of this game, you are the fan of the mod and unless you can prove this nonsensical claim without even playing it, there is nothing to talk about or a reason to take these baseless claims seriously.
Why argue about it?
Can go both directions.
Full support that leads to thousands of good content mods like Skyrim.
Or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ support like Witcher 3/ Cyberpunk that leads to few mods of which 95%+ are just graphic tweaks or UI changes.
If there is one studio that has been shown what mods can do for their games its GSC they know they need to do everything they can to make it easier for modders.
In fact they put this on the storepage - Mod support giving the freedom to the creative players to extend and enrich the game universe.
To me thats a clear sign of their intention.
