Why did you make mixing factions so uneffective?
Lets be real if you play on hard difficulty, mixing factions is extremaly unefective

1. You have to spent evilness on 2 faction upgrades instead of just 1, and faction upgrades are super expensive for example for demons its 3800 evilnes. Without faction upgrades your units cant level up which makes them useless.

In Dungeons 3 there were no faction upgrades so units could level freely, they only needed one happines room.

2. Each faction need 2 happines buildings, so for example if i want to go demons + horde i have to build mana baths, torture chamber, brewery and arena, this is again alot of evliness, gold and snots working time.

In Dungeons 3 i only needed 1 happines room, which was kinda doable, for example if i went mostly for demons, building temple for undeads wasnt that bad.

3. Each faction have no synergy with other factions, nagas can only heal horde, vampire queen can only heal undeads.

In Dungeons 3 i could go undeads as a support for Demons, banshee was a decent tank, liches could slow down enemy attacks etc.

So in each game i have to choose faction i want to play and stick to those 4 units they let you hire, mixing do not work, imagine playing orc in warcraft 3 and only having 4 units to choose, or age of empires 2 only having one infantry, one archer, one cavalry and one castle unit. Please in Dungeons 5 let us mix units freely just like in Dungeon Keeper 2 or WFTO.

Why u created system where each different race takes bonus damage from different faction when you dont let us mix factions, for example elves takes more dmg from demons and humans more from demons.

i disagree. i have no problems mixing factions, but personally only do horde/demon.
I don't think the intention is for you to fully commit to one faction, but rather focus on a main faction and shore it up by dipping into at least one other faction. I like to main Undead, but I always dip into demons at least a little bit because imps are cheap and useful ranged attackers, and spells provide crazy amounts of utility. There's nothing stopping me from dipping into Horde too, I just generally don't feel the need to because after I get far enough into the tree that i can field Bonelords and Vampire Queens, Orcs and Nagas feel redundant. The individual faction identities are strong enough that you don't need to go 10/10/10 to have a strong and varied force.

demon consume evil

ghost consume corpse

orc is more tricky to ress them and need high upgrade

so it is to avoid to put everything in same basket

so orc are cheap

demon are ok

ghost are elite units

mean early game you use orc and end game you use ghost

Hm the problem is that things like spells and arcanium are faction specific.

Do you really want to pay evilness just to have a home tp?
simple spells can get you though alot.

demons needing evilness instead of mana to ress is cowdung tho.

I use the perk double evilness, so i don't really have any evilness issues, and my units dont die very often, drop healing pots on them.. keep them alive.

only need lvl 2 demon to get arcannum and spells. shrugs.. demons are good for ranged attacks.

investing in all factions gives you a 40 man army. i usually have 20 horde, 20 demon. works for me.

You level up the other factions just because it will increase the population cap and then you pich the tech you want on the way. On the matter of uneffective you can just build the rooms you need (workshop, mana shrines) and let the snots do the work, in D3 you had to have the creatures for it blocking your population.
A second happines building (one of them even generates more stuff for your dungeon) is a fair trade for it.
Gobbler mass slayer and massive gobbler room and you got free evilness.
Usually ends up with 38, lvl 8 undead for maxed Prison and lvl 10 demons for Vaults. With perk Master of all factions that is 48% extra dmg since I max out dungeon as well.

Gnome champions with gazers can be quite nuts
I do agree however that the faction system is forcing you to play 1 faction at the time

In vanilla D4, I routinely mixed factions. In the DLC, I was not having much luck, due no evil fountains on the overmap. So have been doing hoard only. But if I gain some more skills playing the DLC, I will probably be able to branch out more.

I really do feel that they had a much better synergy in 3. Playing 3 made you feel like a true evil overlord, master of the undead, the horde, and the demons.

I don't like how 4 doesn't encourage you to diversify your forces.
