Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse is Available Now
We are thrilled to announce that Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse is now available in a timeline near you! This newest DLC promises a new 3-mission campaign, a new skirmish map, a heroic (ew) outfit for Thalya, and, for the very first time, the ability to build up to 15 new buildings on the Overworld which will allow the recruitment and training of hero units! Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse is out now on Steam, Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation®5 for €14.99/£12.99, with a 15% discount on Steam and other online retailers until December 17th.

As enemies become allies, Good becomes Evil (or vice-versa, this is still being hotly debated by the siblings) players can recruit and train a shiny, self-righteous army to fight alongside Thalya and her shiny, self-righteous stepbrother Tristan as they navigate an alternate reality where alliances are turned upside down and Evil™ isn't quite as Absolute as usual! Guide this unlikely duo through new challenges, wielding the holy and/or unholy combination of Evil and Good to find their way back to their own (arguably even more chaotic) universe.

In addition to this evilly good DLC, the Community-Loving Evil has also today launched Update 1.8, a free update to the Dungeons 4 base game. This update brings with it a new, distressingly dastardly difficulty level, 2 new skirmish maps with 2 new unlockable skills and a “Best Time” display for each map! Players can read more about Update 1.8 in our Blog Post.

Packed with new missions, unique mechanics, and the ability to recruit heroes from the forces of the Good for maximum Evil-Goodness, Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse is out now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 for €14.99/£12.99.

Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse Features:
  • When Evil fights Evil and joins forces with Good, is Good being Evil? You can revel in this philosophical question while, for the first time in the series’ history, in Dungeons 4 – Not Another Multiverse you control Tristan, his spells and his hero minions to venture against a common adversary, who is somehow even MORE evil than Thalya. WHAT?
  • A Multiverse Right at your Partly-Evil Fingertips: A new mini-campaign, spanning 3 new and fully voiced missions leading you through the challenges of a new multiverse while working together with the pesky stepbrother of Thalya.
  • Leave a new mark on the Overworld: With your freshly formed – and still bizarre, I care to add – bond, you are now able to build 15 hero buildings on the Overworld, where you can recruit and upgrade heroes to strengthen your Army of Good (did I really write this? Yuck)
  • Skirmish Time: Train your freshly acquired “Team Good” skills and find out how to really work and slay together in a brand-new skirmish map “Dynamic Sibling Duo”.
  • Blend in with the Good! To blend into the hero community (again, this is born out of pure necessity, we are forced to emphasize) Thalya gets a new, heroic (blurgh) outfit.

A word of warning to the publisher/devs: 15$ for 3 missions is unacceptable, unless those are the most amazing missions in the entire series. I'll buy it this time, but it's the last one. We like D4 and supporting the studio, but don't take that as an invitation to start fleecing people.

I've played every level of this game from easy to max diff, the auto feeder for trap supplies is really cool, I do really appreciate the new skirmish maps and new augs. Having the little snots act like they're always slapped, along with autofeeder for traps has enabled me to be able to experiment with whatever 3rd aug I want which is really cool.

That being said.

I played this DLC once thru and then haven't gone back to it.

They need to give us the ability to setup base defenses, or at least walls so we can maze like a TD and we don't even have access to the best cannons.

I thought I did something wrong when I finished this DLC and never got the best cannon and arrow towers.

I guess they're planning releasing another DLC.

I bought this one full price and it was meh.

Because of that, I may have to wait until the next DLC goes to 50-80% off.

Bug?
It seems like goblins are no longer conspicuous and get targeted by enemies when other unit types are nearby. The same seem to be true for enemy assassin heroes as well. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes I noticed.

I also noticed that going pure goblin with 2 token orcs for the Goblins mods is OP. In mass they do hella damage. They're made of paper at low levels tho so you'll have to go straight for the Resurrection room or you'll never gain enough XP for them.

Once you get them to level 5+ they Rip and Tear. I pair them 50/50 with naga healers and 2 orcs.

Hi! I got a question about the new "Extremely Difficult".

I did the new DLC in "Extremely"(Hell, the last mission was ... Hard to get the 100% with that!), and now i ll doing again the all the campagn with this difficulty just for the Fun & Challenge.
But... can we get a "Special reward" for that please :demoticon:?
Like a new gauntlet! to reflect your "completition"!

I was a little suprised you didn't add the achievements for the Bonus quests for each missions (Like the base game), but a "special reward" to beat the game with the maximum difficulty could be great!

Thank you for the anwser :cozybethesda:

Hi Zem,

Thank you for your cool idea and we have forwarded it for discussion to the team. No promises possible though.

Cheers.

Oh this is a great idea. Maybe give us meaningless rewards for beating the Campaigns on Extreme Diff. Now that we have the auto feeder for traps and snots behave like they're always slapped I'm re-doing the entire game on Extreme difficult.

It actually makes it a little more fun because the heros really are tough.

I also noticed that sometimes the dwarves will dig into the prison and free the slaves to do a mayor assault, that really adds to the flavor.

I'd really like to see more of that, not necessarily always going straight for the Heart, and not neccessarily digging thru the walls, that is pretty annoying.

Although you could add specific digger units that you can tell are specifically oriented towards digging and you could also add a hardening walls feature that costs boxes.

Typically, I don't kill the dwarves, not just because they're good hard working salt of the earth neighbors, also because they're an infinite supply of evil for the prison. >_<

It is kindof weird tho that as a Dungeon Dweller I feel a strange affinity for the dwarves, against the surface dwellers.

I wonder if you can play with that in later expansions?

Maybe if you want to have a "Good" dungeon, you could have a dwarf campaign with lots of interesting new dwarf traps. As I said somewhere else, maybe Grogu goes nuts and decides he needs to eat Thalia and her brother to gain their power so then we have a dwarf campaign with some monsters that are loyal to Thalia mixed in.

A dwarf campaign with lots of new dwarf, human, and elf traps mixed in could be an interesting expansion idea. You could even have a new dwarf soundtrack.

Overall the dwarves really add a lot of flavor to the dungeon. I love how when you however over their part the music changes, like they're playing dwarf music throughout their entire section of the dungeon, whistling while they work.

I also really appreciate that on Extremely difficult the dwarves are almost always the last men standing.

Hello! Already bought this DLC. Thank you for the new very interesting content!! It's really cool to play as heroes on the surface. I only have 2 questions about the game mechanics about the converted heroes.
Undead converted heroes - the game says they are Undead. All Undead and all other creatures take their wages. But Undead converted heroes do not take their wages! Why?
Demons converted heroes - the game says they are Demons. All Demons can resurrect in the Demonic Vortex. But Demon converted heroes die in battle forever! And cannot resurrect? Why?
Thanks.:d4_healing:

I 100% agree!

I'll JUST finish adding aug potions to all of my troops, and then the converted heros are killed.

They don't resurrect in the Orc Machines and they don't res in the demon area. I HATE losing troops because the difference between a level 10 and a level 1 or 2 is MASSIVE, which is great.

I really like that they added this Hero conversion thing, one thing tho, it's way too high in the skill tree (or low technically). By the time I get to hero conversion, I don't really need them, I just do it for fun, but it's not really helpful.

Unfortunately the "good" section is quite buggy. Two most annoying issues I encountered in the campaign:
1. Buildings on the overworld are messy - while selecting a spot UI suggests that there is enough space but then when the cart gets to the spot it suddenly decides that there's no room and would wait...
2. I built a prison in the second mission. Naturally it was filled with monsters that tried to attack my dungeon. So far so good... except for the fact that once the prison had some "guests" all the shortcuts for picking troops (f2, f3, f4) suddenly started picking up prisoners instead of my actual troops. I had to go around entire dungeon and manually pick every unit to send them back to the surface.
2a). Kinda related: f1 works a bit randomly I think: sometimes I was picking/selecting Tanya, sometimes Tristan...

Also, a suggestion for very important improvement: add some shortcut to select inactive construction crew on the overworld - finding it in the middle of the town full of units is really messy.

Yeah, building on the surface is quite jarring after you're able to meticulously construction a trapped dungeon.

They really need to go back to the drawing board and try to replicate the dungeon on the surface at least in terms of the ability to build walls, so you could at least have a TD map on top of a Dungeon's map.

Which judging by the popularity of TD maps, for example, Elements TD went from a customer map on Blizzard to an actual game on steam and TD now has it's own gaming category as well, it could be good move.
please playtest it yourself before releasing the content developers. Siblings in the storm is ♥♥♥♥! Not enough time and not enough resources to fight and defeat Evil Tristan. Seriously frustrating!

to be fair they add a new palyable faction with heroes and all the buildings are well animated and not just 3 missions but yeah they are missing some AI for the Evil/Hero faction playing both at the same time is a lot of work and only the first mission is really a hero mission.

Atleast great for coop so both players have finally their own faction to play instead of fighting for the dungeon but we need definetly AI atleast in dungeons 5 or a update, maybe add the hero faction in dungeons 5 as playable own faction, atleast dungeons 2 has the option with 3 different factions and i miss the cutie spookie skeleton workers and lil demonic cuddlekennys...

the spells was also more fun in dungeons 2 with the zombie general for the undeads and all the different traps for each faction with spider eggs who hunt the heroes down or skeletons coming to live and turn heroes into skeletons... yeah all of this is missing here sadly so personally i like the heroes more in dungeons 4 because they easy to play and more relaxing while the dungeon is just hard work.
You made a slight error in the campaign ^^'
When Tristran was talking about how His foster father and sister were abusing Him so badly, its surprising He didnt become a psychopath - thats not how that works.
One does not just become a psychopath - because psychopaths are born, but sociopaths are made, if the environment is right.
Like for example: Being tortured which seems endless, sleeplessness, starvation, degradation, humiliation, dehumanisation, hopelessness and in a complete disbelief a fellow human is capable and would force someone to go through such a hellish ordeal.
Soldiers coming back home with PTSD is bad, but nothing compares to a child, who goes through something like this - The world is a nightmare and its hell out there!
And this happens more often that anyone would even like to know, or dare to question, for ignorance is bliss~

Anyway, im also disappointed that we only got like 5 campaigns. That is insultingly low - it made me feel like i prematurely finished the game.
ive played D3 and D4 and while it lacks a good story, Youve got everything else going. Its fun and addictive, You should have just added filler campaigns, really. (except that D3 has more appealing models - and also the rooms and traps building drop down menus are too big, everything else is perfect. Building icons are just right, its just the menus that takes half of my screen - i prefer if its kept open like in that "other" game, heh).

Being able to control heroes was a neat new addition, my only not-so-pressing question is - is it a bug if i cant rotate hero buildings or this by default?

In the end, i love this game (even better than war of the overworld, which i completely regret buying), am excited for Your next big thing and i hope some of this will be put in consideration.
Turtles, my lovely team ♥
