But yeah, ghost army is my favorite end game to shoot for. And if you use the perk that turns perma-dead minions into ghost heroes, you can start building the army early on. Which is also balanced because you can't heal them without vampire queens or teching up enough to build their room, making it difficult to keep them "alive" in the early part of the game.
Also the better versions of the hero units (like High Priestress) do actually convert to a different version of the ghost unit, though you have to look at their stats to see the difference.
Something about taking heroes that are either knocked out or killed and using them to replenish ranks just feels so good.
Whether powerful or not. I even used the skill that slain creatures spawn ghost heroes. Haven't needed the actual tiles and structures.
It can't be done currently. Maybe someday or not. If not, I guess someone is going to need to group up people to do so.
And yes, I have my own idea written out of how it could be down with three factions.
