Vampire Queen healing feels excessive
Right now it seems like most maps can be solved simply by massing undead, especially seeing as work rooms are now all manned by snots instead of their various faction mobs with the exception of the temple. I think this is mainly because the healing from vampire queens is so high; throw 4 or 5 in an army of undead and they become more or less immortal, since even if you take an aoe hit from a boss it'll be completely healed up before they even throw a second attack.

Well, it depends on the mission and on what achievements you're hunting for. A lot of the time-sensitive ones I've found undead start a little too slow and that mass orc/gnome/naga is the way to rush since they're cheapest to start off. Alternatively, the mass succubus rush is also pretty effective at clearing out early camps very quickly at a cheap-ish cost (succubus are slightly more expensive but they take no damage in combat because of beguile and have amazing FAST hp regen out of combat)

I'd say all races end up with a pretty unbeatable stack eventually, but it depends on how quickly you need to get your death ball going. Undead are very expensive and it's a big research investment early on just to unlock the queen in the first place.

You can get a good stack of orcs + nagas and some upgrades for the same cost as just one vampire queen.

Demons are by far the best way to go if you want to kill things quickly. They have the highest damage output and you also don't have to cross tech to get spells. Demon portal is more or less mandatory to make the game a thousand percent less tedious.

Infernals do splash damage and eventually get up to 50% more damage from imps dot, and the slow dot.

When you are grinding down 2-4 stacks of champions I find spells and demons work very well.

I'd rather they not nerf anything tbh. I like that both the Horde, Demons and Undead are all very viable, or you can use a mix of all 3. In the last game I felt like Demons and Undead were lacklustre. Undead are very strong but take too long to get going. Horde can be useful straight away, and the sheer DPS output of a full Demon army is amazing.

I agree. I think that they should have diminishing returns on their heal. Like it takes 3 vampire queens to double the healing output, 7 to triple it, etc.

I also wish there was some reason to take more than one faction. Dungeons 3 had this problem too, but it's still annoying that there's limited reason to multifaction except flavor.

At least it's not Dungeons 3 with Arachnids being the only thing worth building!

multifaction for the species damage buff is the only reason I can really think of sadly. That or prehaps mixing a demon or two in for targeting down clerics. But generally I would prefure to just unlock spells for that.
