UPDATED Antivirus related Launch Issues
Faithfull Underlings,

Dungeons 4 is currently being falsely flagged as malicious by some antivirus programs, that result in deleted files and the game not being installed or not starting properly.

In case you are experiencing issues with this, try adding the d4.exe and other files that might get deleted as an exception to your antivirus program after making sure the game is installed properly and all the game files are verified.
You can also try to disable the antivirus program temporarily to check if the game starts properly.

If this does not help, please send an email to support@kalypsomedia.com and add a description of the issue, the steps you have already tried and your antivirus program and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

[List of known antivirus programs that might flag the game falsely as malicious:
Norton, Malware Bytes, Windows Defender, AVAST]

Microsoft Defender in Windows 11 also flags this as a Trojan horse. "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml". Why on EARTH would anyone take your recommendation to whitelist this under these circumstances. Hard no until it's fixed and a massive disappointment.

Update from above: After researching this for a bit on VirusTotal, I tried verifying the game for a 3rd time just to see... Looks like Microsoft Defender no longer flags it. So if you did something Dungeons 4 Team, thanks!

Avast flags the game as idp generic when trying to start up.

Yeah, my Windows Defender is blocking the game from launching or updating, reporting it as Trojans and Viruses.

I dropped my D4.exe file into the VirusTotal website and told it to rescan... after that it worked. It shouldn't have... but it did. I cannot see how that's related though.

I am also having issues with this and i even played it for 4 hours? I tried to allow it and window will still not allow the game to run :(

still get it blocked, not going to allow whitelisting for now, hope they will fix it SOON.

Yeah windows defender doesn't like it either and has quarantined it, can't find a workaround at the moment, calls it a severe trojan

Wouldnt be surprised if its the Kalypso Launchers Server connections thats causing the flag.

I can't even play the first level of the game. The game crashes and stops when I try. Any idea why the game files are being seen as a virus/trojan?

Yup, definitely not happening either for me. They either fix it in a day or two, otherwise I'll just go the easy way, refund, come back and buy it in a few months.
Was overjoyed about finally being able to play it at release and I can't hide the fact that being unable to launch the game killed the fun already.

Found that the cause is false flag. Its not the devs that handle this. Rather, antivirus companies will have to update their registries, which pushes the update to your computer.

Anyway i think they have to check something BEFORE release, its the same like producing a Product,- call it "WINDOWS" and the Confused Costumers comming back,- telling thats not Windows,- Windows is a Trade Mark. The People have to Check it BEFORE selling things and Poducing Problems with it.:evilagent::aurip::UnhappyMask:
