I would like a gold edition too... i dont know why there is no gold edition on steam.

This is probably because technically "Gold Edition" does not give pretty much: you still get Gallean and Elves as two seperate games anyway, there is no new content except of 5 single scenarios which are IMO very poorly designed.
Well, still the GoG version offers you both games for a bit lower price than you can get them on Steam, but that is basicaly the only real advantage.

Disciples II: Ultimate Edition. In 2006 this addition was also made available on Steam.
Total package, but sad to say it is no longer on steam, kinda wish i new why

Thanks for this, decided to buy Disciples 2 Gold on GOG instead since it costs less and get all the expansions together in one purchase.

Steam version is better than GOG. But use 2.0+3.0 exe and additinal DRM from valve (from 2014 update).

GOG version provide oldest 2005 gold edition as it be - with no 2.02\3.01 patches.But provide 2.02+3.01 exe's. And no 2006 Gold content, no 2.02+3.01 patches.

Better way - combine them.

Steam 2.02 GR version still based on 2.01 Gold version. One file (from folder Interface so it probably only for main menu numbers) are still differ from retail+patch 2.02.

Steam still sale Gold edition. But in more priced way. it cost too low for discount bindle as it be older in Steam (sub id 95).

I could not get nether to work, in fact trying to load it might of messed up my PC or something I cant stream and my dashboard wont link, not sure what happened, it sad loved these games, heck played Raid shadow legends a bit just cause the combat style

Game should start. And even play more or less normal (not so fast as on Win7). For improving speed (response and actual game speed wrapping as well) of the game - use GLwrapper aka DisciplesGL by Verok

Better extract every content from Valve VPK_dir archives. it from Valve 2014 update and make game work worse. Later use some official DRM-free (easy to find now is from GOG) 2.02+3.01 exe's. I put somewhere here a link to that exe's. Also i put some content missed in GOG (taken from Steam)(and from retail for more artworks).
