Russian Maps Translation
hi all, i have alot of russian maps which i would like to translate into english so i can follow their storylines , any idea how i can do this? i have a tool which exports and imports text from the sg files but it gives an error each time and doesnt work.

Yep.
i have gone into the scenedit and went to briefing and info etc on the map, however its not in russian its in like an ascii code, how do i translate that? i want to copy that text and translate it with a tool

Steam version not allow custom content. NO WAY.
ScenEdit must be installes in Steam as separate download.

sg extract and import does not work, it gives an error when trying to export the sg file

sorry what? but scenedit is installed when i install disciples 2 from steam?

can you show me how you are able to translate a russian map to english? i have more than 300 russian maps/ sagas which i want to play in english

Nope. Editors must be installed and launched separate (starting directly from folder require extracing VPK nad drm-free exe).
Here the editors as TOOLS in TOOLS in Steam Library

what is everyone on about ???? when i install my game that i have purchased, scenedit is installed with it so what is everyone talking about ? i just want to translate russian maps into english... and want to find out how.... FYI it is fan made russian maps that i am talking about which is sg files not VPK!!

Open Editor -> Open Map -> Find text -> Translate it to Eng -> Save Map -> ... -> PROFIT!

Already smtg. If you can't see russian text, then maybe you have to get a Cyrillic code at your PC?

thanks for your time , i did not know there is a button for the map editor to translate, however i do not see this, is there a way to run the map editor in window mode? yeah will look into the Cyrillic code.

the tool is D2SGImpEx_500 it extracts the text to xls for editing and imports it back into te sg file, well its suppose to , mine keeps having an error towards the end when exporting to xls so it doesnt save the xls file for excel, hence i cant translate the russian text to english...

and regarding what the one guy said, scenarion editor comes with the game that you purchase and can run it from the directory... not sure what he was on about
