This isn't the kinda game you can expect to finish without dying a lot.
I'm compelled to keep going because the game is really drawing me in, but there's just poor combat design or jank at every corner which is making it a very frustrating experience.
You absolutely can master it but it being very unconventional certainly makes that difficult
The thing that bothers me the most are enemies that deform when they attack you at close range making them hard as ♥♥♥♥ to hit like the snakes and really any long enemy.
That said I like the combat well enough, it fits the game pretty well I think.
