This feel like it got some sort of major revision partway trough...
This game obviously has a ton of effort poured in, but its one of the clearest example of "less than the sum of its part", to the point where it feel like something was changed near the end.

It feel like the caravan were supposed to stop everytime you would finish a major quest, and you'd be forced to start a new one. Because as is, its like the game stop working after a major quest, there's no progression of gear, the stuff you get at the start of the game last you till the end, no higher rarity stuff to find or anything. Leveling also gets incredibly boring, after level 6 or so, its just really uninteresting minor upgrade. Supply become a non issue, same for fight, so there's no difficulty to push back on you, it almost become a mindless clicker game.

After the into video, I thought the game would be about sending caravan to protect a seed/clipping of the city tree to spread civilization trough the desert, each caravan pushing the desert a bit further for the next one to progress further. It makes numerous mention of the caravan make one way trip, to never come back, yet after a couple of hours, you can just fast travel back whenever you want and you need to come back to spend the memory point. So that entire aspect break down.

It really would need to either commit to the rogue like aspect or just abandon them altogether and just become a more traditional RPG.
