Soul Keeper?
Hey I saw this item mentioned on the Wiki and a bit in the forums but I can't find any more information on it. I understand it and Prodder are pretty much the only weapons with MP absorb effects and I'd love to do something with Shaman and one of these weapons. I already have Prodder but how late into the game is Soul Keeper? It sounds like it's pretty much post game when I wont have anything to do any more any way.

Without sequence breaking the earliest you can get the Soul Keeper is after getting the carp mount which is very close to the end of the non-post game. So unfortunately yeah, by that point all that's left is a handful of dungeons and post game bosses.

The only compatible option I can think of for draining % based MP with a melee weapon is the Reaper's Moon Slash, which could make for a decent hybrid since Scythes are generally good for both melee and magic. Although Shaman would need the Equip Scythe passive since they can't use them by default and their strength is somewhat low. Reaper/Shaman is also an option since reapers have surprisingly high MP and mind but the lack of light armor + a scythe means your total mind isn't going to be particularly great.

Thank you for answering! Actually I'm not too worried about the damage output. I want to try Shaman + Nomad, spamming an AoE each turn that also replenishes health and MP sounds like an amazing foundation to build a character on.

I am enjoying the game so far, first play through (obviously) and I dove in on hard mode. I'm a little sad with how the end of the game is already looming. It feels like I only just started playing and by the time I get my characters to where I want them to be there wont be any more content.
