Here's a screenshot that may help: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2809062875
Do you see the two "posts" that are closest to the camera? You have to jump from the shorter "post" to the higher one.
I hope that helps, and for what it's worth you do get some things later that make the platforming easier.
If you're stuck somewhere else you'll have to give us a screenshot.
I think something that can help a lot with these kinds of jumps is getting a running start. There's a bit of an acceleration which can cause jumps to go very little distance when jumping right from a standing position.
Here's an example video:

I hope this helps!
Also, I found (most) jumps easier if using a Joystick instead of a D-Pad or WASD/Arrow Keys.
That extra bit of directional freedom you get from a Joystick can make these "up 2 spaces + right 1 space" jumps a lot easier.
If you aren't able to use a Joystick, it gets a lot tougher.
You can try changing course in mid-air, but it's slow.
From the south platform, you can try walking so you're just barely one foot off the RIGHT edge, then make a running jump straight UP.
It's using that magic video game logic where you don't need both feet solidly planted on the ground to be able to stand or walk. ;) You can have almost half* of your character sprite "off the edge" and still be on "solid ground".
*Not scientific measurements.
Please remember to be kind to other adventurers. If they have trouble again with some jumps in the future, lets do our best to help them out with some tips.
I think this is a great tip and is applicable to a lot of difficult jumps.
