The classic basic RPG party, 1 tank 2 dps(or 1 buff) and 1 healer didn't work for this game.
As everyone said "nuke them before they nuke me" is the best strategy, so just using OP class for all party member is the best option.
For me, I don't want to do that.
I really LOVE basic party 1T2D1H, so when I enter the "end game" staff, I just stick with basic party but lower difficulty to easy instead so I can clear all secret boss.
Weaver/Rogue as main dps, Summoner/Nomad as support dps, Warrior/Aegis or Valk as tank/debuffer, and Warlock/Nomad or Mimic as healer. With this I have gotten every achievement in the game and cleared everything(except Labyrinth).
My tip is that Summoner provides an insane amount of utility and is probably worth using in every party. The mana costs are pretty high, but secondary nomad can help alleviate that.
Also Warlock/Nomad is great. It let's you make your Remedy aoe which is nice for some bosses that do aoe conditions. With proper gear you will heal for 900+ single target and around 600 with the aoe stance.
generally, it's nearly required for me to completely tailor my team to the boss. For example, Aegis functions as an "anti-magic", Valkyrie functions as an "anti-physical", so I have a Paladin-like unit that I swap between Aegis/Valkyrie depending on the boss's most dangerous attacks. Additionally, if they are a formidable hybrid attacker, then I have a backup Valkyrie on another character that I can subclass to have both Aegis and Valkyrie. basically, make good use of the template system, i have like 10 loadouts lol.
Also make sure you are up-to-date on equipment. everything you are wearing should be Diamond or an equip that's better than Diamond. there are some good semi-secret equips that are very useful like Plate of Whale. If you don't have them and you're really stuck, check out the End Game guide to go round up some of the good endgame equips
Infinity attackworks.
EDIT: just noticed this one was fixed.
Without this, hmmm...
One character is certainly reaper and abusing negative max HP gear with it's specialty to become nigh immortal.
Summoner/valkyrie is probably best overall support combination.
Another character is certainly nomad + something with good AP accumulation, nomad is probably the best general purpose character.
Last one can either be tank or something to burst with further.
