I thought the mausoleum was difficult (spoilers)
WTF was the sequoia tree thing in the middle of the ocean WAYYY harder platforming than the castle and the lack of save points ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The micro mount switching was so hard. It feels AMAZING to beat it and the loot was also great even for end-game ish.

PS: Dev, are you a sadist?

So you are supposed to ascend the tree with a golden quintar, so the micro switches is technically cheese. That said dealing with all the quintar races might be harder than just going up the tree like you did anyways
A fantastic thing about the sequoia climb, you can just bring your fish to juuust the surface of the water and then just press b (and hold) like you'd normally jump with the owl. Before i realized that, so many of the jumps were ridiculous. (I also did the mount switching cheese)

Also you can actually land in the water for a second with, say, the Owl before it registers you as drowning, so if you exploit that you can *really* cheese the place. Plus there's lanterns so if you walk onto them, they work as little checkpoints.. So if you miss a jump just switch mounts, drown, and poof back up there you go.

Ahhh I had my suspicions but that makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I left quintar races alone after trying out the first one lmao

Everything I did exactly to a T. I realized a little too late (towards the end of the dungeon) that I could get away with the owl being in the water for a second

Everything considered, the save points were still pretty bad for me(maybe because I'm new to platforming games?): they were spaced at around after every 6-8 jumps (way more compared to prior platforming dungeons) and towards the end, if you fell off and accidentally landed on another ground, your save point would get reset - which happened to me a couple times.

It was great coming up with ways to beat it but holy cow was it difficult and fun

Owl and Fish club is how you're supposed to do The Sequoia.
Golden Quintar is for those who cannot.
Don't let anyone tell you different.

Just came across an NPC discussing the Sequoia, he mentions that "apparently it's impossible to do without the golden quintar" so the owl/fish method does seem to be a cheese ... for anyone wondering where the NPC is: Most right spot of Quintar Reserve, right below the Eastern Chasm, He also gives the map to the Sequoia Wish I had that earlier ...

Oh my god, it was there. Thanks, I searched that tree up and down three to four times for that... a few of those times was with the owl+fish method which I actually thought was the intended method until I talked to this NPC... welp...

I think it's more fun without the Golden Quintar, I'll always believe that's the real cheese.

I also managed to join the club. Really struggled with one section, but glad it is over. Now, before I leave this place. Is there anything beyond the accessory and spear? Don't ever want to make this climb again. lol

I didn't even have the quintar babal by the time I'd made it to the top. Owl/Fish supremacy is real

Tbh, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Some of the jumps are a little tricky, but aren't bad at all compared to full-time platforming games. I'll certainly do this 100x before the stupid Pitioss dungeon in FF15.

are you talking about umm.. castlemark tower or whichever it is? the postgame place? with all the platforming? because if so I wholeheartedly agree that platforming was the stuff that spews out of people's behinds after a bad meal

We're probably talking about the same place, but it's the one you can only get to with the flying car postgame.

Yeah I'm probably not gonna be winning any points for saying I enjoyed that dungeon. I had more fun with it than I had the rest of the game LOL
