Black Squirrels

I found 2 black squirels at the begging of the game and a fairy that says "Black squirrels don't exist".
Is it just an easter egg are I am missing something ?

Haha I'm glad you found that. It's a very obtuse for-fun side quest. That guy wants 3 black squirrels. I will make that more clear in a patch. You can find them on the trees right by the spawn point, but one of them is pretty tricky to reach.

so if we hand over the guy more than 3, will we get a different item? (not squirrel dung)

I'm glad you found the video! There are 4 in total. You only ever hand over 3, so nothing to miss. The last one is just for fun and in case someone wasn't able to get one of the other 3.

I found the guy you hand these in to a while ago, but I was drunk and don't remember where it is anymore. Whereabouts is it ?

It is directly north-east of where you spawn, up on the cliffs in front of a large-ish tree.

What area is he in? Is he before or after the first inn?

Do you remember where the game spawns you when you start the game for the first time? All the squirrels are up in trees right around that spot. So yes, it's before Nan's house.
