Hey New Guy,
Thank you for the suggestion!
The next update v4.1 will support the function to select the storage location for the gif file via file explorer.
Could you send a screenrecording and some screenshots of the issue to ron@bippinbits.com?
I've clicked on 'save' after quite a few runs, but there are no .gifs in the Dome Keeper folder (or apparently anywhere on the Deck's filesystem for that matter).
Also, since you mentioned you were meaning to add the option to change the .gif save folder in update 4.1... Is that option supposed to be available on the Steam Deck now? I haven't seen it in the game menus and that makes me think that something's not working as intended.
I'd be happy to send something to your e-mail, but it would just be a screenshot of the /.local/share/godot/app_userdata/Dome Keeper folder without any .gifs. That doesn't sound like much help. :)
Hey,
Happy New Year to you too!
We’ve already introduced the option to specify an individual save path. The OS file manager should open, allowing you to choose where to save. However, this issue still persists on the Steam Deck and other Linux-based operating systems.
As we’re currently focused on a major update for the game, I can’t provide an exact timeline for resolving this problem. I hope you understand this and still enjoy the game!
I'm not really savvy enough to find them myself. 😅
I searched for the file in the
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/
folder, and it came up with
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1637320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Desktop/
The numbers are probably different for other people, but there's a place to start looking.
