Dome Keeper
Regular vs challenge?
What's the difference between the regular and challenge mode in guild assignment?
Also what's the difference between the brutal and hard and normal difficulty? Do enemies have more health? are resources harder to find?

It always says in assignment info box what is the difference. In pretty all cases it is either: less time to do assignment or the wave weight grows faster/starts higher (wave weight determines how many monsters and which monsters can spawn in this wave). There is no difference in monsters hp, damage, speed, resources location or anything like that.

I think the 'doable-ness' of many challenge modes is pretty borderline for a non-regular player. And challenge mode appears to have gotten more difficult after the latest patch due to an increased spawn rate.

Out of curiosity zimny, what dome & primary gadget combo do you find to be the most powerful after the v4 update? You seem like the most technical regular here so I would value your opinion.

I love the aesthetics of the laser dome (the foghorn BWAAAAAH is *cheff's kiss*) but I think the artillery dome specced for area damage probably outperforms it since the laser is limited to acting on 1 (possibly 2 with the right supplement) targets at a time.

For primary gadget I have been using the drones - the combat ability feels good and it's nice to not have to pick up the resources myself, but I'm not sure if it's actually more resource efficient than increasing carry capacity.

Anyway, would be interested in your thoughts.

Sword and get Bomb supplement fast. Try to upgrade fast Fast Stab 1 and 2 (only 15 iron in total). It will carry you for a long time. Meta behind the Sword from last season suggest to use Shield with Reflect ability. Since Sword struggles a bit with projectiles it complements it nicely. But I found success with Sword and Battle Drones in Provocation prestige too. Carry vs Drones is interesting one. You need to spend more on drones, that you would on carry, to match it. But you save a lot of time. If you have Underground Station or Teleport gadgets, basically no travel time up nad down. This is so the best what I found, but it does not work on every assignment. It is more for Relic Hunt, Prestige and some Guild Assignments.

"the most technical regular" hah :D

Well, I think you understand what I mean =). Looking at posts since the v4 update, you are regularly addressing people's confusions and complaints, while seeming to have a good handle on the difficulty yourself.

In any case, thanks for the reply. I was not a big fan of the sword, but I have not played a lot and I have not tried it since v4. I will give it some thought.

I am curious though what makes it more or less suitable for different assignments. My casual understanding is that, excepting those two guild assignments with mostly ground or mostly air enemies, the dome basically needs to accomplish the same thing in all cases.
