Sword vs. Stag ?

The Laser has a great counter against the Stag with the projectile vaporization, but what's the best strat/ability against Stags with the Sword Dome? They always end up dealing a lot of damage (especially if there's multiple), since they keep shooting the tiny bullets continuously.

For Sword against multiple Stags or against Scarab: pray that you have enough cobalt to survive :( There is no good strategy. Withering helps a lot, but still you would take a lot of damage. Sword simply needs a buff, and lets hope the buff will be helpfully incoming soon-ish...

That's what it kinda feels like to me, too -- but the Dome Keeper reddit is full of posts saying the opposite, how Sword is just so much better than the Laser, but not once have I felt that way versus the late game enemies.

Just look at prestige leaderboard, almost all laser. It did not come from nothing. Also it depends how old that posts are. There was a time when with laser you had to choose between double laser and power 3 upgrades, and then sword was way better, but it was months ago.

For a single guy the Long Stab lets you position the deflector to catch the bullets while shooting, but yeah it's a rough matchup if they start coming from all sides.

have you tryed the reflect power for the dome? fully upgraded it can save your ass i find it`s the best dome ability for the sword.
