How do i use pets?

I got the skeleton and beat the game, but im not sure where to equip the flaming skull pet, help?

theres a skin button, but no pet button

Did you win the round? Pets (and skins) aren't saved when your dome breaks IIRC.

Just won another round with the skeleton and didnt get anything

You say skeleton, you don't mean the skeleton suit you find in a 5x3 cave right? That's the skin. The skull comes from an egg, which you find in a 2x2 dig-out spot like the chips (but it looks different), and then you get a random pet after letting it hatch in your dome.
