(edit: it works, it doesn't... mkII says it repairs even more, but can't see the difference, but it certainly isn't 25% as stipulated )
The healthbar just silently becomes a little bit longer. No indicators or anything.
The cracks on the dome quickly healing up is a good indicator, imho.
Dome heals back 25% of HP after the wave.
It's still not a win passive. Nothing in this game is :)
Another possibility that might be screwing with it, is repairing at the start of or during a battle.
(For the devs) From an accessibility standpoint, I can't help but wonder if there should be a little indicator on the health bar that showed 60% (or 40% if you've upgraded it) from where you're at, so you know when the ability would be triggered. Because, it's really hard to gauge the trigger point, and a LOT of times the bonus is simply lost. (Sometimes, I find myself taking a little extra damage, to regain health. It's kind of weird?)
Alternate (and fairly substantial change) suggestion: Have it restore 15% (or 25% with upgrade) of lost hull from the battle, every time. This way, the player doesn't have to intentionally lose health to gain health, and also gains a very passive benefit they don't have to micromanage (like how the Laser Dome works).
+1. Write to Raw Fury feedback?
The current mechanic is not ideal. Replacing it with a straight x% is healed would mechanically be identical to taking less damage. A straight forward replacement would be to protect against x% of projectile damage.
Right now it is lacking all the indicators - i think it should show during the battle how far progressed the trigger is. Another thing that would be better, if it trigger during the battle, not at the end of it. This is on our Todo list. We'll change that first and then see how it feels, before we consider replacing it, i think.
