A Zelda-like that does enough to stand by itself. Even if you haven't bothered with the 2D Zelda franchise this is still a very solid game.

Simple and solid zelda-like game. Sure, it is a bit bland. But I got a fun time with a cheap price.

Wonderful game if you like indie top down rpgs! On the shorter side, but has a lot of thought and soul in it's development (which is what I prefer in games these days). Not only that, the developer is extremely helpful in getting you through the game if you get stuck!

The game is really amazing. I found out about it after seeing it come onto the Playdate Catalog and decided to get it on Steam. The game is really wonderful and even thought it's a shorter adventure, it packs a lot of love and care into the gameplay, world, music, and art of the game.

I'm really happy that I got to experience this game and I'm excited to get the game ok Playdate as well!!

I also just wanted to mention that the game plays really well on Steam Deck and I had absolutely no issues. The battery life was great and the controls game me no issues.

An enjoyable little game that takes after Link's Awakening. The items are creative and allow you to approach puzzles in interesting ways.

Plenty of reviews will talk about how this is fun for those who enjoyed the handheld Zelda games of the 90s and early 2000s, but as someone who hadn't beaten any of those games when I played this, it still works very much as its own experience. This is a fun little dungeon crawler with some good themeing, and I am optimistic for the sequel.

Cute old school style game, I had a lot of fun with it. The final boss can be a bit frustrating but nothing you can't git gud at.

This is a fun little throwback to Zelda: Link's Awakening with a charming Megaman Battle Network style setting. It's been a long time since I played a game of this style, so I struggled a surprising amount early on. Once I got going, though, it wasn't too hard. There are a nice variety of tools and most of the bosses make good use of the new tool you just used in the dungeon, Zelda-style.

I enjoyed the chiptunes quite a bit, particularly the bioanlaysis lab theme. A little aside: The melody of the main theme is a fairly similar to "We All Lift" from Warframe... I sat there humming it for like 30 minutes trying to figure out what it reminded me of haha.

The ending did feel a bit anti-climactic. After dungeon 3, you basically just have a stand alone boss fight that's fairly straightforward, rather than being more puzzle-y like some of the other bosses. I usually don't complain about a game being too short, but I wouldn't have minded a final dungeon here.

Definitely worth a go if you like old school Zelda, especially for the price.

Wirewalk()↳ is a short top-down RPG in a gameboy-like look. The computers in the world are ridden by a mysterious virus, and our hero Rada decides to be the antivirus the world needs. The virus is cleared by connecting onto infected systems and beating the boss at the end of the dungeon that represents the system. You unlock different weapons that double as tools, which will allow you to progress deeper into the dungeons. There are a few sidequest and collectables as well.

It's not too hard, though the final bossfight took me a few tries. Only thing I didn't quite understand was the fact that I unlocked fast travelling to the other areas in the city just before the final dungeon - maybe I missed something but at that point, I didn't need it anymore. Kinda wished that was unlocked for each area after clearing the respective dungeon, but as the areas are not that big, it wasn't much of a problem.

I liked the pixel graphics, though some elements were hard to read due to the pixel size. Multiple other color palettes can be found throughout the game, I personally stuck with the original one. Music is top notch, no complains.

The settings are quite expansive for such a small game, with audio sliders, language selection, key bindings and video options (fullscreen / screensize / screen stretch), it even supports controllers and has rumble options. My DS4 Controller worked without a problem. For replay sessions, there is even an option to turn off the tutorials. The settings are usual a point of annoyance for me in smaller games, but Wirewalk()↳ is great in that regard.

Overall I enjoyed the roughly two and a half hours it took me to play Wirewalk()↳ and can happily recommended it. Even at the non-sale pricetag you get a quality game that is worth every cent in my eyes.
