How do i smelt my chunks into bars?

I did some mining but i have no idea what to do with what I've mined. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to process my mined stuff. Anyone know the answer?

You can smelt copper, silver, gold and titanium. You can sell the green Emeralds directly at the Outpost

You need a coal or electric smelter. I have found both in drop boxes throughout while exploring. You can also buy them from some vendors. I think the mining npc you get the task from sells a smelter too but it's higher priced than buying it from someone else's vending machine.

Once you have the smelter you have to load it up with coal and then load it with your ores. The coal smelter takes for-ev-er but it will convert the ore into ingots.
