A great game.
Pros:
The game feels very polished. The combat is fun and default difficulty seems nicely tuned.
They do a good job of trying to keep things fresh across the 10 ish hours to complete
Cons:
Lack of checkpoints. Pretty frequently a death will place you back in the main overworld and you need to do a boring trek back to where you were. This gets especially annoying in later part of the games where there are obstacle courses of hazards which are one hit kills. Not being able to retry quickly is annoying. I would have tried the higher difficulty if there were more checkpoints
I think some of the dungeons could use some heal stations. There is no penalty for dying except for the boring punishment of the trek back so I think they could have added some heal stations to decrease the tediousness.
Map - I wish the map was more detailed or kept track of where you were going. The areas are very same-y so it can be hard to remember if you had been to a place. I think if you took a break from the game you would have a hard time remembering what areas you had already explored

Great little bullet hell zelda-like/metroidvania. Well balanced between being challenging and not feeling frustrating.

Cool game

This is a surprisingly delightful little blend of oldschool Zelda and the shoot-em-up genre, and I say that as someone who's never much enjoyed either class of game. I'd been looking for a game to tide over my Hollow Knight itch, and this fit the bill well: explore, find new upgrades that both apply in combat while unlocking new areas, and fight some challenging bosses. The secret sauce is how the game manages to constantly introduce new abilities and areas and enemies at such a steady pace that it never for a second loses your attention; I wouldn't be surprised if some people get sucked into this game and marathon it 'till they've finished every part of it.

The most enjoyable content for me was after the true ending, where the game offers a hall of arena fights, re-mixing enemy encounters and bosses with your entire endgame skillset in mind. It was back-to-back high-octane encounters, and after clearing the first one I didn't want to take a break until I finished them all. As one point of constructive criticism, I do think this game is lacking a true 'mega endgame final challenge' that the likes of Hollow Knight had; the arenas and remixed bosses are difficult and enjoyable, but not a single one took me more than two tries... it would've been neat to really sink my teeth into a few fights (likely by making the enemies more aggressive/proactive and making it harder to simply back out of their range to mentally reset or get some free hits in), but then again I was only playing on 'normal' mode.

I've completed the game entirely, and as you can see by my playtime it's rather short. It really is a no-fluff game; no padded downtime, 'boring parts', etc. Because of that, I think it's reasonably-priced. If you've been looking for a game to scratch that challenging/exploratory/charming itch, this may be the one for you.

A fantastic little gem, smooth gameplay, lots of secrets and a joy to explore.

There is an Arena Mode after completing the story i haven't finished yet, because performance there tanks on the steam deck.

If you like 2D Zelda Likes/Metroidvanias and Action Games this is a must play.

One of the best Games of the last couple of years. Game design doesn't need much explanation. Controls are tight, feedback is good.

Only minor complaint would be performance on the steam deck. It needs like up to 20W which is RDR2 Territory :D
And FPS drop from 90 down to 45 if there is much going on. Thats not too good considering this is a top down 2D Game without any effects :D

Looking forward to more from the devs. Its a perfect game for people looking for an old school gaming experience and not a "cInEmAtIc ExPeRiEnCe"

Great game that to me felt like a blend of Zelda - A Link to the Past and Smash TV from the SNES.

I played on mouse & keyboard, which worked perfectly fine, I had no issues with that at all. It also seems to support just about any type of controller as well.

No bugs for my run, lots of action, no "filler" content, excellent challenges and (imo) a perfectly sized open world for a game of this scope and ambition (~10 hours of gameplay).

This is one of those games that just gets me to feel happy, and while a lot of games are looking to get you in all the feels, this one just straigh up made me happy, and that was a fantastic feeling.
