Im missing the heart shaped piece (not health).

Yet the game says I am at 100%. I have found the hole in the ground it goes in, but I cannot find the heart itself. Anyone have any pointers? Its the last thing I need.

Is it an area that has a seemingly corrupted altar/church type area? Because if you go to the right side wall there's a secret passage there.

I think there's a late one that's part of the story? I'm playing through a second time, and remember the heart going in the long tree tunnel, but there also being a second heart.

If it's not pointed at nor you already have it, you're mistaking it's pointer for something else, asking too early to be able to get it even with knowledge of where or it's bugged somehow. It's shown asthe main objective. It's not permanently missable.

Pretty sure he's not talking about the corupted heart (the one you seem to be referring to), but about the heart at the bottom of the inventory

I am also missing this piece - it's the key needed in the big tree the singing friend opens up for you. My map says 100%. Weird.

I finished the game 3 times now, and i am 99% sure that if you saw the credits, the game points you to the heart automatically, and THEN to the "singing friend tree".
Happened on normal 100%, hardmode 100% and normal mode speedrun.

Can't imagine what you did to have 100% but the game doesn't give you a new marker on the map...

This is right. I just found the heart key. There are two caves on the southwest most part of the map. The north one leads to an altar where you previously picked up the Wounded Heart module in the hidden room on the east side. The altar shifts up and the heart key is found underneath. Not sure what caused it to shift on my revisit, I'm post final boss, pre-arena, I have all modules & spirits. [/quote]

That's an endgame/post game area/event. It actually doesn't unlock until then because it's part of the endgame. ;)

I got 100% before beating the "final" boss. The heart item I am looking for does not contribute to game completion percent for some reason. And you can only get it after the
"final" boss.

It's weird that you can get 100% without obtaining all of the items etc. Fantastic game though!

You will be able to get it after you fight the “final boss” and see the credits. It is needed for the “true ending” , and after beating the final boss (the one you face after having the four skulls) you can check your map for it.
