Demo doesn't appear to be using cloud saves. Will my progress carry to full game?

I'm playing the demo, and I can't find any indication that it's using cloud saves. I installed and started up the demo on a different device and it didn't have my save game, and I can't see any options anywhere to enable / disable cloud saves or see if the cloud save is up to date, which leads me to believe it's not saving in the cloud. That makes me worry that I'll have to start entirely over if I buy the full game. Any advice?

Well for me it didn't, not sure why. But the gameplay is sooo good, I happily replayed the first hour or so...

Are you on linux? I read it requires moving the savefile to transfer.

Yeah, it didn't for me either (playing on the Steam Deck). What do you mean by "move the save file to transfer"?
