I went in this game totally blind. I just saw few screenshots of the game and instantly fell in love with the artstyle, so I think that is the thing I should talk about first.

This games artstyle is heavily, and when I say that I mean HEAVILY inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli. I personally love the artstyle, as I've grown up with movies like Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and Laputa. Those movies have been a big part of my childhood, and seeing their artstyle being adapted into a game is wonderful. The art during the gameplay is beautiful, and the art in the cutscenes feel like something straight from a Ghibli movie.

I am not sure if there is multiple endings available, as of right now I've only played the game once. The gameplay is typical Point & Click adventure, with quite interesting gameplay mechanics, which I haven't at least seen in a game before. The gameplay mechanics are interesting, even though they sometimes guide the hand of the player a bit too much.

The story is surprisingly rich, I love how the developers managed to put in such a deep and interesting story into a fairly short game (just about the length of a short film).

Then, let's talk about the music, which is absolutely beautiful. The OST is such a nice cherry on top of a beautiful story and a beautiful visual presentation.

This game is less of a game, and more of a movie, with beautiful visuals, beautiful music and a nice story. And I feel like thinking of Behind the Frame as a movie/cinematic experience, instead of viewing it as a game, is the right way to view it.

Overall, a beautifully crafted, beautifully written story. Even though the game is fairly short, it's still easily worth the price tag.

If you're into point and click adventure games from a mechanical point of view primarily, this might not be the game for you. The puzzles are not complex, the game is not long. However, the story is what makes this game and the technical work done to put the player into a Ghibli style animation/illustration story well worth the play through.

I recommend play through this twice, play through it the first time, focus on just completing the game and finding out the story. Once you know the story, take a break, play again and take time to really look around. The enviroment is very impressive from a technical standpoint of seeing parts of the background move like you're living in that animation. There's also some enivromental storytelling you may miss because of lack of context to first time around.

The story is really good, again it's not complex, but it's a story that I think a lot of people can relate with. A story about what-ifs and missed chances.

This fun game is about helping an artist complete her masterpiece. You start your day by making breakfast, having coffee, and listening to music. The game's title, "Behind the Frame," made me think about hidden things in life and art, which turned out to be true as the game unfolded and showed a personal story about memories and lost love.

I enjoyed playing this game by myself and with my daughter; she loves it too. It even inspired her to ask for the same breakfast as in the game – eggs and bread!

I hope there's a sequel with more puzzles and a longer story, maybe with the option to change the music. This game is great for the whole family because it's lovely, easy to play, and appeals to everyone.

The only downsides are that it's a bit short, and you can only do painting in the game. It would be nice to have more things to do and the option to change the music while you play.

Though it only took me around an hour to complete, I still enjoyed what was there. I do think the sale price of $9.09 was still a little high considering the brevity of the game, but I do not regret buying it. The team who made this is small, which is even more impressive. The animation was well done, the mechanics worked well, and the story was beautiful. The only reason you would buy this game is for the story, because there isn't much in terms of gameplay. Nevertheless, I recommend this game for the story alone.
