Disappointing Puzzle Experience

As a puzzle game, this title has left me quite disappointed. Here are the main issues I encountered during my playthrough:

1. Too Short for Its Price
For a game priced like this, the gameplay is far too short. I was expecting a more substantial puzzle-solving experience, but I finished the game very quickly, making it feel not worth the cost.

2. Clunky Screen Transitions and Hard-to-Reach Clues
When searching for clues, the screen transitions are often not smooth, and some clues are extremely difficult to reach. This lack of smooth operation severely affects the game's immersion, making it seem like the game design lacks finesse and attention to detail.

3. Unengaging Storyline
While I can understand that the game attempts to convey a sense of regret and leaves some things to the imagination, the current execution is far from satisfactory. There is not enough buildup for the regrets of the main characters, making the story feel very disjointed. Players are left feeling confused and unable to empathize with the characters. This emotional disconnect makes the story bland and unengaging.

4. Lack of Colorful Visuals
Considering that one of the game's selling points is its art, the use of color is insufficient. The color palette in the game did not meet my expectations; it felt very monotonous and lacked visual impact. I hope the development team will put more effort into this aspect and improve the game's visual quality.

Overall, this game falls short in several areas and does not meet expectations. I hope the developers will take player feedback seriously and make improvements.

This is the first review I've posted on Steam because of how much I enjoyed playing the game. I am a big ghibli fan, and was impressed by how beautiful the graphics were and enjoyed the touching story the game portrays. I started off playing the demo just to see if it would live up to the reviews, and it did! I loved how the music was very peaceful, and how interactive the items were in the home, from making coffee to cooking my own eggs with the ASMR included.

It was a lovely 2 hours of game play on a sunny day when I was looking for something relaxing to do. I highly recommend!

It's a decent game with a good story but it just wasn't that fun to play. The artstyle is gorgeous and the soundtrack was quite good. It is way too short however, I beat the game and dlc in a little over an hour. The game itself also looked kind of crusty in 1440p.
