Stuck in Jack DLC

I stupidly tried to start the painting of the wheatfield not realising that once you click on the canvas there is no going back and no way to exit the painting of the canvas. The problem is I am missing the yellow paint I need to finish it. Since I cant leave the canvas to go get yellow paint, am I going to have to restart?

I think you just use the paint that's available to you, and once you paint all the relevant areas without the yellow paint, the game lets you leave the canvas. Here's a video from App Unwrapper on Youtube that shows how to solve puzzles in Jack's DLC:

similar issue with Ambers' box of paints, if "you" don't know the combination, and tap on it, you are stuck on the box and have to exit to the menu? There does not seem to be a "back" arrow like the puzzles usually have. What was the thinking by omitting the back button?

For the wheatfield, I had the same problem, until realising that I missed a small white triangular part to paint on the right side.

I got stuck on the paint box. Tried reclicking 1916 but nothing happened. I had to escape the game and go back in.
